Fluffy buttercream frosting recipe

We love butter. Way more than Paula Dean multiplied by 1000!

So yeah nothing is going in our frosting except for the real deal stuff.

Shortening and margarine have that fatty sickly sweet taste.

Makes the mouth tickle and not in a good way.

And we ain't gonna ruin a good cake neither.

1# unsalted butter room temperature

2# powdered sugar

1/3 cup heavy cream

Start ingredients in a large mixing bowl and make sure to start the beater on low.

Unless you want a powdered sugar blizzard and some choice words thrown down.

Mix for a few minutes and scape down the bowl really well.

No chunky frosting please.

Mix on high for at least 5 to 6 minutes.

Frosting should get whiter and fluffier.

It's easy to frost a cake when the frosting is warmer. Much easier to smooth with a frosting knife.
